Postmodern Visual Analysis

"The sad thing about artificial intelligence
is that it lacks artifice 
and therefore intelligence."

The artwork that I created has a vibrant yellow background. There are triangular shaped cutouts of a dark blue computer screen and overlapping robot and human hands. There are also images of cardboard robotic heads. Some of the hands and heads are in color and others are black and white. Lastly, black ink drips down the piece. Some of the streams appear to go behind the images while others run on top of the cutouts.

            The ink in this project reminds me of oil that is used to run machinery. It looks like it is dripping from the robotic arms. It can also be a statement that humans are becoming too robotic. Humans are relying too much on technology and robots will soon replace us. The geometric shapes further support the robot and artificial intelligence themes because of the sharp lines. There are no organic shapes because computers are exact. The color scheme, complementary colors, also accentuates the contrast. The light background highlights the dark triangles and makes the robot and human hands pop out.
